The US State Department’s Rewards for Justice program has issued a new appeal for information about the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s financial activities.

“The IRGC uses digital asset exchanges to launder money, fund terrorism, and retain covert access to international financial systems,” it said in a post on X. “Help disrupt these illegal transactions. Send us a tip.”

The post refers to an existing reward of up to $15m for information leading to the disruption of the IRGC’s financial mechanisms.

The program is seeking details about the group’s sources of revenue, front companies, exchange houses and financial institutions, as well as individuals and entities allegedly helping it evade sanctions, reports AL Jazeera.
