The UK government announced on Monday that it will suspend 30 of the 350 arms export licenses to Israel, citing concerns over a "clear risk" that these weapons could be used in violations of international humanitarian law.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy addressed parliament, explaining that the partial suspension applies to items that could be used in the ongoing conflict in Gaza against Hamas. However, the ban does not extend to parts for F-35 fighter jets, which are exempt from the suspension.

The decision reflects growing international concerns about the use of military equipment in conflict zones and emphasizes the UK's commitment to upholding humanitarian standards in its arms export policies.
