The United Kingdom has announced a temporary withdrawal of its diplomatic staff from its embassy in Iran, citing security concerns amid escalating regional tensions.

A government advisory stated, “We have taken the precautionary measure to temporarily withdraw UK staff from Iran. Our embassy continues to operate remotely.”

The decision follows recent military exchanges between Israel and Iran, which have heightened instability in the region.

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy has called for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict and is currently in Geneva for nuclear talks with Iranian and European officials.
