Mosque Blast in Jakarta School Injures 54 Worshippers

At least 54 people were injured when an explosion occurred during Friday prayers at a mosque located within a school complex in North Jakarta’s Kelapa Gading area.


Police said the injured were taken to nearby hospitals, with conditions ranging from minor wounds to severe burns. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the blast.

According to officials, the mosque did not sustain major structural damage. Emergency services and ambulances were deployed to the scene as police cordoned off the area during the investigation.
