AR Rahman, the talented music composer from India recently talked about his much-awaited dream project 99 songs. Contrary to the title, 99 songs is not a musical album, rather, a full-length feature film.
Bishesh Krishnamurti has directed the film under Rahman’s production house while musical maestro penned the story of the film and composed its music.
Two months ago, Rahman released a poster of 99 songs. He also said he was going through the pre-production phase and that the promo would be released soon.
The Oscar-winning music composer talked about the film at the launching ceremony of Pele: Birth of a Legend, a film for which Rahman is currently composing music. He said: “This is an Indian film. The hero comes from Kashmir and the heroine, from somewhere else. The heroine’s origin will be announced later.”
Rahman has been planning and preparing for the film for over four years
