Detective Branch (DB) of police have arrested DCS Company Ltd managing director and chairman in connection with the death of two siblings in Basundhara .



Detective Branch (DB) of police have arrested DCS Company Ltd managing director and chairman in connection with the death of two siblings-- Shayan Mobarak   and Shahir Mobaraka at a house at Basundhara residential area in the capital.

The arrested are Ashraf, chairman of the company, and Farhad, managing director (MD).

They have been arrested from Brahmanbaria and Tangail during secret drives, said DB Lalbagh division deputy police commissioner Moshiur Rahman.

He said Lalbagh division DB police are investigating the incident. As part of that, through information and technology system, a DB team detected Ashraf and Farhad's location and arrested one from Brahmanbaria and another from Tangail.

The team have already started for Dhaka with them.

Earlier on June 5, police arrested Tipu Mollah who sprayed pesticide to kill insects including cockroaches at the house. Later, he was placed on a two-day remand for interrogation.

It was learnt that the parents of Shayan and Shahir called in the pest control workers of DCS Company Ltd at their Basundhara residence to kill cockroaches on Friday (June 2). After spraying inside the house, the workers told the parents of Shayan and Shahir not to enter the residence for six hours. Then they would have to live washing the entire residence. The family members returned to the house spending six hours and then went to sleep.

Getting awoke from sleep on the following morning, the youngest son Shahir fell sick. Then his elder brother Shayan also fell sick. The two siblings were taken to a private hospital early Sunday morning where doctors pronounced Shahir dead after examining him. Later, Shayan died while he underwent treatment.

Mobarak Hossain, father of the two children, filed a case accusing three people with Bhatara Police Station, over his sons' death.
