Pix Cineplex has become one of the few multiplexes established outside the capital Dhaka. The new multiplex has been set up in Shirajdikhan of Munshiganj. Shirajdikhan ZH Shopping Center hosts the multiplex with two halls of a hundred-seat capacity.  It expects to get 3D facilities. Three shows are being held everyday from 12pm to 9pm. Each show has been priced at Tk 200. A children’s play house along with a modern restaurant and a coffee shop are also included. Arrangements for projecting 3D cinemas as mentioned are also in hand. About this news the officials commented that the hall had to be launched in hurry without completing all the construction works to cater for the demand of Eid. Nasiruddin Yousuff Bachchu is the owner of the hall.

Pix Cineplex was inaugurated on August 31. Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu was invited as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony presided over by Nasiruddin Yousuff Bachchu.  Branches of the Cineplex will be set up in Comilla, Kushtia, Cox’s Bazar and Bogra. Officials hope to build a multiplex in each of the sixty-four districts.
