Bus-truck collision leaves 3 dead in Gopalganj

Three people were killed and 25 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck on Gopalganj-Tekerhat road in Boultoli of Sadar upazila in Gopalganj district on Tuesday.


The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident occurred in the afternoon when a Madaripur-bound bus of ‘Sonali Paribahan’ plunged into a roadside ditch after colliding head-on with a sand-laden truck, leaving three people dead on the spot and 25 others injured, said Shafiul Alam, inspector of the Boultoli Police Investigation Centre.

The injured were taken to Gopalganj 250-bed General Hospital and Gopalganj Medical College and Hospital, reports UNB.
