One dead, 25 injured in Barishal bus collision

The accident took place at around 12.30 pm in Barthi Mandir area of the upazila.
An elderly woman died and at least 25 were injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses in Barishal's Gournadi upazila on Friday.
The accident took place at around 12.30 pm in Barthi Mandir area of the upazila.
The deceased was Delwara Begum, 60.
Gournadi Fire Service station officer Moidul Alam confirmed the matter.
He said on information, two units of the fire service reached the spot and started rescue operation. The two buses have been diverted from the scene to normalize traffic.
The body was recovered and sent to the police station, he added.
