Four killed in Teknaf mud wall collapse

Four members of a family were killed in a mud wall collapse in Hnila union of Cox's Bazar's Teknaf upazila, police said.

The accident took place at Moulvibazar area of the Hnila union of the upazila around 2:00 am on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Anwara Begum, 50, Shahidul Mostafa, 20, Nilufa Yasmin, 15, and Sadia, 11.

Confirming the incident, Teknaf Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Osman Gani, said four bodies were recovered from the spot.

Hnila Union Parishad Chairman Rashed Mohammad Ali said the mud wall of their house collapsed due to the incessant rain since Thursday morning, reports UNB.

All the four died on the spot, said the UP chairman.
