Two crushed to death by truck in Barishal
Barishal, June 23 - Two people were killed as a truck hit a van on Dhaka-Barishal highway in Gournadi upazila of Barishal district early Monday.
The deceased were identified as Barun Das, 55, a fish trader from Sakokathi village, and van driver Aynal Bepari, 60, from Agarpur village in Babuganj.
Golam Rasul Mollah, officer-in-charge of Gournadi highway police station, said the accident occurred at Baichkhola of Batajor in Gournadi upazila when the Barishal-bound truck crashed into Aynal's battery-operated van.
Fish trader Barun and van driver Aynal died on the spot.
Police seized the truck, said the OC.-UNB
