Engineer dead, 4 hurt in Chattogram auto-rickshaw collision

An engineer was killed and four people were injured in Chattogram road accident.



An  engineer was killed and four people were injured as a CNG-run autorickshaw and a three-wheeler collided in Raozan upazila’s Kaptai Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Deceased Papon Barua Shakil, 41, was the senior engineer (mechanical) of PHP Group and office secretary of Chattogram Diploma Engineers Association. He lived with his family in Mohammadpur residential area of the city.

Raozan Police SI Joynal Abedin said autorickshaw passenger Shakil was killed on the spot after head-on collision between the three-wheeler and the autorickshaw. Four others including autorickshaw driver were injured in the accident.

The body was recovered and sent to the morgue of Chattogram Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he said.
