44 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed in Dhaka and nearby districts to ensure security at garment factories.

BGB public relations officer Md Shariful Islam confirmed the matter on Thursday (November 9).

He said that a total of 44 platoons of BGB have been deployed in Dhaka and surrounding districts to strengthen the security of garment factories. Besides, a sufficient number of BGB personnel is deployed across the country to control the law-and-order situation.

It is mentionable that readymade garment workers have been staging protests demanding their salary hikes for the last couple of days. Meanwhile, some incidents of clash took place in garment areas.
