300 inquiry committees appointed to probe pre-polls irregularities

The Election Commission (EC) has appointed 300 judicial inquiry committees for 300 parliamentary seats to investigate the irregularities that will happen before the upcoming 12th parliamentary election.

The committees have been formed with the joint district and sessions judges and senior assistant judges of each district.

This was known from a notification, signed by EC Deputy Secretary Abdus Salam, on November 23.

The Ministry of Law has issued the notification regarding the formation of the judicial inquiry committee.
