33 Joint Secretaries made OSDs for roles in 2018 nat’l polls

A total of 33 joint secretaries, who served as Deputy Commissioners and Returning Officers during the controversial 2018 national election, have been designated as officers on special duty (OSD).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued six separate notifications on this matter on Wednesday.

The officials are Md Matiul Islam Chowdhury, Sabina Yesmin, Md. Ataul Gani, Abu Ali Md Sazzad Hossain, Kazi Emdadul Islam, SM Mostafa Kamal, Anjon Chandra Paul, Sultana Parveen, Md Sarwar Morshed Chowdhury, Md Shahidul Islam, Md Helal Hossain, Md Ali Akbar, Md Daudul Islam, Md Mazedur Rahman Khan, AZM Nurul Haque, SM Ajior Rahman, Md. Masud Alam Siddique, Gopal Chandra Das, Kabir Mahmood, Md Mahmudul Alam, Hayat-ud-Dawllah Khan, Md Abul Fazal Mir, Moin ul Islam, Md Wahiduzzaman, AKM Mamunur Rashid, SM Abdul Quader, KM Kamruzzaman Selim, Kazi Abu Taher, Md Mizanur Rahman, Mohammad Abdul Ahad, Anar Koli Mahbub, Syeda Farhana Kawnine,  and Mahmudul Kabir Murad.

Previously, 12 officers had been made OSDs for the same reason. - UNB
