Dhaka, 3 March - The final phase matches of Sheikh Kamal 2nd Bangladesh Youth Games continued on the sixth day held Friday at separate venues in the city.
Basketball
Khulna division won gold in boys' basketball and Rangpur division won gold in the girls' basketball held at basketball court of Bangladesh Army stadium in the city.
Khunla division beat Chattogram division by 40-39 points to win the coveted gold in the keenly contested boys' final match while Rangpur division secured the gold medal beating Khulna division by 50-29 points in the girls' basketball final.
Meanwhile, Chattogram division bagged bronze in boys' basketball event while Rajshahi division secured bronze in girls' basketball event.
Bangladesh Basketball Federation's (BBF) president Dr. Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin was the chief guest and distributed the prizes. BBF's general secretary AK Sarkar was also present there.
Football
Rangpur division won gold in the girls' football as they thrashed Rajshahi division by 6-2 goals in the final held at BFF artificial turf in the city's Motijheel.
The match was locked by 2-2 goal draw at the breather.
In the day's final match, Swapna Roy scored a brace in the 71st and 88th minutes while Rupa, Kolpona Akter, Shanti and Revana supported her with a lone goal apiece in the 3rd , 35th, 56th and 57th minutes respectively for Rangpur division.
Falguni and Mehnaj netted lone goal each for Rajshahi division in the 26th and 30th minutes respectively.
Besides, Chattogram division secured the bronze medal defeating Dhaka division by 5-2 goals in the place-deciding match also held at the same venue.
On the other hand, Rajshahi division won gold as they retained the title in boys' football event beating Rangpur Division by 7-6 goals in the tiebreaker in the keenly contested final match held at outer stadium Paltan ground in the city.
The match rolled in to a tie breaker after the regulation time ended a tame goalless draw.
Bangladesh Football Federation's (BFF) vice president and BOA member Mohiuddin Ahmed Mahi, BFF's member Amer Khan and Mahidur Rahman Miraj handed over trophies and medals to the winners after the final match.
Table Tennis
Nafis Iqbal of Rajshahi division won the gold medal in the boys' singles table tennis event and Khai Khai Marma of Chattogram division bagged gold medal in the girls' singles Table Tennis event held at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium in the city.
Rajshahi division's Nafis Iqbal won the coveted gold defeating Chattogram division's Hasibur Rahman 3-2 in the boys' singles final, Hasibur bagged the silver while Prameet of Chattogram division bagged the bronze medal.
Khai Khai Marma of Chattogram division beat her compatriot Reshmi Tanchanga 3-1 to win the coveted gold in the girls' final match. Anika Basu of Khulna division and Nusrat Jannat of Rangpur division secured the bronze medals.
Squash
Dhaka division won the gold medal in squash mixed doubles event held at army squash complex in the city.
Pervez Nabila of Dhaka division won the gold medal in the final held on Thursday last night. Aminul and Bristhi of Rahshahi division bagged silver while Simon and Rafia of Chattogram division secured bronze medals.
Wushu
Four gold medals were decided in washu event held at Shaheed Noor Hossain National Volleyball Stadium in the city.
Shaheen Alam (13.40) of Chattogram division won gold, Babla Islam (12.85) of Rangpur division bagged silver and Sayel Musfiq (12.53) of Rajshahi division secured bronze in Chanchuan and Dausu events.
Besides, Sadman Mahir of Rangpur division (13.20) won gold, Tanveer Zahid Akash of Sylhet division (13.13) bagged silver and Shakibur Rahman of Chattogram division 913.00) secured bronze in Nanchuan and Nangun events.
While Preo Mandal of Rajshahi division (12.05) won gold in the girls' Nanchuan and Nandau events, Rupkatha Barua of Chattogram division (11.13) bagged silver and Jonaki Tanha of Sylhet division (9.97) secured the bronze medal.
In the women's Chanchuan and Jiansu events, Taochia Akhtar Emu of Ssylhet division (11.80) won gold, Subhasree Das (11.40) of Rangpur division bagged silver and Nafiza Nawal of Chattogram division (11.10) secured bronze medal.
Gymnastics
Chattogram division maintained their supremacy in both boys' and girls' gymnastics event held at National Sports Council gymnasium in the city.
The boys and girls of Chattogram division have won a total of 14 medals including 7 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze in this discipline. Dhaka division finished second with a total of 15 medals including 4 gold, 7 silver and 4 bronze while Rajshahi division became the third with 3 bronze medals and Khulna division finished fourth with 1 bronze.
Chattogram division emerged top in the boys' team standings while Dhaka division emerged best in the girls' category.
National Sports Council's secretary Parimal Singha attended the closing day as the chief guest and distributed the prizes. Bangladesh Gymnastics Federation's general secretary Ahmedur Rahman Bablu was also present during the prize distribution ceremony.
Meanwhile, Jiban Tripura of Dhaka division won the gold in the boys' individual event parallel bars with a score of 11.10. Two youngsters from Chattogram division Nijhum Khisa and Tanurai Tripura bagged silver and bronze medals respectively in this event.
Bonfuli Chakma of Chattogram division won gold in the girls' floor exercise scoring 11.85. Meme Singh Marma and Kainai Me Marma of Dhaka division bagged the silver and bronze medals respectively in this event.
Tanurai Tripura of Chattogram division emerged best in the individual list boys' gymnastics scoring 44.767. He secured one gold, one silver and equal number of bronze medal in individual events.
Besides, Banphuli Chakma became the best individual in the girls' category scoring 34.60. She won two gold medals in individual events.
Handball
Dhaka division won gold in the boys' handball event beating Khuolna division by 32-18 goals in the final held at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in the city.
Youth and Sports Secretary Dr Mohiuddin Ahmed was the chief guest in the final and distributed the prizes.
Abdur Rahman, former chairman of Rajuk and former vice-president of Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF), was present as a special guest in the closing ceremony, presided by BHF's president AK M Nurul Fazal Bulbul.
BHF's general secretary Asaduzzaman Kohinoor, Handball Event Organizing Committee Chairman, BHF's vice president Golam Habib, were among others, also present on the occasion.
Archery
Sagar Islam of Rajshahi division won gold in the boys' recurve singles event defeating his compatriot Abdur Rahman Alfi 6-4 in the archery discipline that concluded Friday at archery training center of Shaheed Ahasan Ullah Master Stadium in Tongi.
Joti Rani of Khulna division bagged the gold in the girls' resurve singles event defeating Urmy Khatun of Rajshahi 7-1.
Rajshahi division comprising Abdur Rahman Alif, Riyad Ahmed and Sagor Islam) secured gold in the boys' recurve team event beating Dhaka division featuring Mahmudul Alom Rafi Mostakin Omi and Niloy Mollah 6-0 in the final.
Khulna division featuring Joti Rani, Jannatul Ferdous, Farzana Akhtar Jyoti) defeated Dhaka division featuring Sumaiya Sultana Beethi, Fahmida Sultana Nisha and Sumaiya Akhtar 5-1 to win the coveted gold medal in girls' recurve team event.
Chattogram division comprising Yu My Ching Marma and Abdullah Al Mohammad Rafi) beat Dhaka Division (Fahmida Sultana Nisha and Niloy Mollah) by 6-2 to win the gold medal in the recurve mixed team event.
Sheikh Kamal 2nd Bangladesh Youth Games steering committee's co-chairman and Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) vice president and Bangladesh Archery Federation's (BAF) president Lt. Gen. (retd.) Md. Mainul Isulam handed over the prizes to the winners. BAF's vice president Faisal Ahsan Ullah, BAF's general secretary Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal were also present during the prize distribution ceremony.
Shooting
The shooting discipline of the Games concluded at Shooting Sports Federation shooting range in the city's Gulshan with the domination of Dhaka division.
Dhaka division won five gold medals out of six events while Rangpur division bagged the remaining one gold.
Dhaka division won a total of ten gold out of 18 medals in six events.
In air rifle girls' open site event, Achia Akhter of Dhaka division won gold scoring 244, Rubaiyat Tabashchum of Dhaka division bagged silver scoring 242 and Sharmin Akhter of Barisal division secured bronze scoring 237.

Khulna division maintained their supremacy in the booth boys' and girls' wrestling event of the Games held at Sheikh Russel Roller Skating Complex in the city.
The wrestlers of Khulna division won 11 medals including 3 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze in boys' wrestling. Rangpur division bagged 3 gold and 2 bronzes and finished as the first runners-up while Rajshahi division won 2 gold, equal number of silvers and 1 bronze medal to finish the second runners-up.
Besides, Chattogram division bagged 1 silver and 3 bronze, Dhaka division secured 2 silver and 2 bronze and Mymensingh division won 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.
While Khulna division won 3 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals in girls' wrestling. Rajshahi division bagged 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals to finish first runners-up and Rangpur division bagged 2 gold and 5 bronze to finish second runners-up. Chattogram division won 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze and Dhaka division bagged 1 bronze.
Swimming
Four events were decided on the first day when the swimming discipline of the Games has begun today (Friday) at Bangladesh Naval Swimming Pool in the city's Banani.
Amirul Islam (55.93 seconds) of Dhaka division won gold, Md. Islam (56.01 seconds) of Dhaka division bagged silver and Monir Khan (1 minute 0.18 seconds) of Mymensingh division secured bronze in boys' 100m freestyle swimming event.
Juhi Akter (1 minute 08.71 seconds) of Dhaka division won gold, Nupur Khatun (1 minute 12.81 seconds) of Khulna division bagged silver and Jharna Khatun (1 minute 15.15 sec) of Khulna division secured bronze in girls' 100m freestyle swimming event.
Mahmudul Hasan of Chattogram division (1 minute 15.92 seconds) won gold, Nadimul Haque of Dhaka division (1 minute 16.34 seconds) bagged silver and Imran Hossain Roni of Dhaka division (1 minute 18.35 seconds) secured bronze in boys' 100m breast stroke event.
Jui Akhter of Khulna division (1m 31.67 sec) won gold, Mukta Khatun of Khulna division (1 minute 32.75 sec) bagged silver and Saifa Akhter (1 minute 35.14 sec) of Dhaka division secured bronze in the girls' 100m breaststroke event.
AHZ Husain Al Musallam, president of World Aquatics (formerly FINA) distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
International Kabaddi Federation's president Vinod Kumar Tiwari, BOA's Secretary General Syed Shahed Reza and Bangladesh Swimming Federation's general secretary MB Saif were present there as special guests.
Chief of Naval Staff and BSF's president M Shaheen Iqbal presided over the ceremony.
Rugby
Rangpr division won gold in boys' ruby while Dhaka division secured gold in the girls' rugby of the Games held at Outer Stadium in the city's Paltan ground.
Rangpur division won the gold medal beating Khulna division by 12-7 points in the boys' rugby final. Khulna division bagged silver while Chattogram won the bronze medal in this event.
On the other hand, Dhaka division won the gold medal by defeating Chattogram division by 10-5 points in the girls' rugby's final.
Chattogram division bagged silver while Rangpur division secured the bronze medal.
Sheikh Kamal Youth Games steering committee's member secretary and BOA's deputy secretary general Ashikur Rahman Miku handed over the prizes to the winners. Rugby federation's general secretary Mousum Ali, were among others, also present during the prize distribution ceremony.
Athletics
Faisal Ahmed (50.20 sec) of Rangpur division won gold, Hafizur Rahman (50.27 sec) of Mymensingh division won silver and Borhan Uddin (51.02 sec) of Khulna division won bronze in the boys' 400m athletics event held at Bangladesh Army Stadium in the city.
While Umm Sultana Popi (59.20 sec) of Rajshahi division won gold, Azmi (59.51 sec) of Khulna division bagged silver and Mim Akhtar (1 minute 1.02 sec) of Khulna division secured bronze in the girls' 400m event.
