Chattagram University, Jul 14 - Chhatra League activists have swooped on protesters demanding quota reform at Chittagong University, after they came out on Sunday night to protest Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's remarks on the movement.

The incident occurred at around 11.30pm on the Kata Pahar Road of the campus. Two individuals, including a female student, were injured in the attack.

Earlier at around 11.15 pm, the students began their protest at the Zero Point on campus, chanting various slogans.

Eyewitnesses reported that Chhatra League activists arrived at the protest site around 11.30 pm. They threw some cocktails into the protesting students, causing the protesters to retreat.

At one point, as the students were marching from Kata Pahar to Shaheed Minar, the Chhatra League leaders and activists chased them. This led to the protesters dispersing. During this time, the Chhatra League leaders and activists assaulted four to five protesters. - UNB
