Jaya Ahsan’s film Dawshom Awbotaar collected Rs 2 cr in 3 days

Jaya Ahsan, a renowned name in Bangladeshi cinema, has once again left her mark with her latest project Dawshom Awbotaar.



Jaya Ahsan, a renowned name in Bangladeshi cinema, has once again left her mark with her latest project, "Dawshom Awbotaar". Directed by Srijit Mukherjee, the film has amassed an astounding Rs 2 crore in Kolkata in a mere three days, which is equivalent to Tk 2.6 crore.

Tolly Bangla Box Office reported the news on its official Instagram handle.

Released on October 19, "Dawshom Awbotaar" has taken the lead amongst the films that graced the silver screen during the Puja festivities. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Bangladesh's pride, Jaya Ahsan, Kolkata's own Prosenjit Chatterjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, and Yash Dasgupta. Notably, the Border Security Force (BSF) has also extended its support to this project.

Tolly Bangla Box Office's Twitter update revealed that on the auspicious day of Ashtami, "Dawshom Awbotaar" tickets flew off the counters, with over 15,000 sold. "Bagha Jatin" came in a close second, with approximately 11,000 tickets sold, followed by "Roktobeej" with 10,000 tickets finding eager takers.
