Met office predicts hotter days ahead!

The met office has predicted the heatwave to continue over Bangladesh.

Mild to moderate heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the districts of Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalgonj, Rangamati, Rajshahi and Pabna. The heat wave may continue, the Met office said in its bulletin Thursday.

Meanwhile, rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, as per the bulletin.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary cloudy sky elsewhere over the country. Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 38.9 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while the minimum temperature was 22.6 degrees at Srimangal in Sylhet division, according to the bulletin.

The trough of westerly low lies over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining areas. The seasonal low lies over the South Bay, according to the department, reports UNB.
