The death toll from Israel’s war on Gaza has risen to 73,449 after nine Palestinians were killed over the past 48 hours, Gaza’s Health Ministry said on Saturday.

In its latest statistical report, the ministry said hospitals received the bodies of nine Palestinians, while another body was recovered. Eighteen people were also injured during the same period.

The ministry said several victims remained trapped under rubble or on roads, with ambulance and civil defence crews unable to reach them.

It did not provide details about the circumstances of the latest deaths and injuries but accused the Israeli military of continuing to violate the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10, 2025.

According to the ministry, 1,313 Palestinians have been killed and 4,361 injured in Israeli violations since the ceasefire began.

The overall death toll from Israel’s military campaign in Gaza since October 8, 2023, has reached 73,449, while 174,472 people have been injured, it said.

Most of the casualties have been women and children, according to the ministry.

The conflict has also caused extensive destruction across the Gaza Strip. Around 90 percent of the territory’s civilian infrastructure has been destroyed, while the UN has estimated reconstruction costs at about $70 billion.
