Nurse's death in hospital: Director on 3-day remand

A court on Monday placed a three-day remand to the director of a private hospital at Bhairab upazila in Kishoreganj .



A court on Monday placed a three-day remand to the director of a private hospital at Bhairab upazila in Kishoreganj district over the death of a nurse.
Kishoreganj Judicial Magistrate Court-2 Senior Judge Kishore Dutta passed the remand order to unveil mystery of the death in the hospital.
The accused is Hanifur Rahman Sumon, director of United Hospital and Orthopedics Center in Bhairab.
Md Golam Mostafa, officer in-charge of  Bhairab Police Station, confirmed the matter.
Earlier, the police station sub-inspector and investigation officer of the case Pallab Sarker produced the accused in the court on July 12 and applied for a five-day remand.
On July 11, police recovered the body of the nurse named Rima Pramanik from a bed in the hospital with a note in which mentioned "Nobody is responsible for her death".
Sentu Pramanik, father of the deceased, filed a case with Bhairab Police Station accusing four people including director Sumon and another nurse Liza.
