ACC okays chargesheet against Bachchu, 146 others

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday approved a chargesheet against 147 people including former chairman of BASIC Bank Sheikh Abdul Hye alias Bachchu in 59 corruption cases.



The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday approved a chargesheet against 147 people including former chairman of BASIC Bank Sheikh Abdul Hye alias Bachchu in 59 corruption cases.
The chargesheet was approved eight years later the case filed.
It is learnt that 56 cases were filed in three days in September 21, 22 and 23 in 2015 in BASIC Bank's Tk 4,500 crore loan scam. A total of 156 persons were accused in these case filed with Gulshan, Motijheel and Paltan Police Sations. Of the 156 accused, 26 are the bank officials.
