A Dhaka court has placed BNP Cooperative Affairs Secretary Golam Kibria Gaus on a two-day remand in a case filed for allegedly plotting to kill former Finance Minister late AMA Muhith.

Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid of Dhaka CMM Court passed the order on Wednesday after he had been produced in the court with plea, seeking a 10-day remand.

The case was filed on August 28 of 2015, for plotting to kill lawmaker Advocate Abu Jahir and Finance Minister AMA Muhith.

Gaus was booked recently in two cases lodged over BNP men’s clashes with police on August 19 in Sylhet and was granted six-week interim bail by the High Court on Tuesday. - Special Correspondent
