Dhaka, 11 Sep -After making an impact with the bowling, Shakib Al

Hasan failed to do the same in batting for Surrey in its English County Championship match against Somerset at away ground in Taunton.

Shakib claimed 4-97 after bowling 33.5 overs to help Surrey bowl out Somerset for 317 but could make only 12 runs in the batting. He played 24 balls and hit one boundary before giving return catch to left-arm spinner Jack Leach who played 36 Tests for England.

Despite Shakib's failure, Surrey earned a four-run lead after being wrapped up for 321 in its first innings.

Tom Curran was the top-scorer for Surrey with 86 while Ryan Patel made 70.
Ben Geddes was the other one to hit fifty, making exact 50.

Offspinner Archie Vaughan, the son of former England captain Michael Vaughan, snapped up his first-class career-best 6-102 while Leach took 4-105.
