Dhaka, 22 Dec - The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Chairman of Cricket Operations Najmul Abeedin Fahim, expressed confidence in the country's cricketing talent, pointing to recent successes in domestic T20 leagues around the world as evidence of the strength of Bangladesh's players.
His comments came after Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed delivered strong
performances in the IL T20 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
"Strong performances in these leagues confirm that Bangladesh have players
of genuine international quality," Fahim said during the final of Rangpur
Riders BSJA cricket tournament here today.
Some players may not yet have international recognition due to a lack of
franchise exposure, the BCB is aware of their abilities, he noted.
"Just because they haven't played in franchise leagues doesn't mean they are
far behind," Najmul Abeedin Fahim added.
He also praised Bangladesh's pace attack, noting that if Mustafizur is rated
a 10 out of 10, then Tanzim Sakib is close, "with a rating of eight-and-a-
half or nine".
"This reflects the growing depth of talent in Bangladesh's fast bowling
department," the BCB Chairman said. BSS
