53 held in anti-drug drives in city

DMP in anti-drug drives detained 53 people along with drugs from different areas of the city in last 24 hours as of 6:00am on Thursday.



Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in anti-drug drives detained 53 people along with drugs from different areas of the city in last 24 hours as of 6:00am on Thursday.
During the drives, 9,293 Yaba tablets, 9.948  kilograms of hemp, 10 grams and 26 puria ( small packet) of heroin, 38 bottles of Phensedyl syrup and 10 injections were recovered from their possessions, DMP Media and Public Relations deputy commisioner Md Faruq Hossain said.
A total of 37 cases were filed with the police stations concerned under the Narcotics Control Act.
