Teenage girl raped in turn giving lure of job in Patuakhali

Gofran Biswas, Patuakhali: Police arrested 2 youths accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in turn by luring a job in Galachipa upazila under Patuakhali district. The incident took place in Suhuri village of Golkhali union of the upazila on Wednesday. In this incident, a case has been filed under the Prevention of Women and Children Torture Act at Galachipa police station.
According to the police and local sources, the 15-year-old girl from Ghazalia Union of Upazila was taken to Dhaka by Riaz Howladar (30) and Rabbi Gazi (27) of Atkhali village of neighboring Dakua Union, promising to give her a job. When the girl decided not to go to Dhaka to work, they reached Patuakhali on Wednesday morning by the launch of Patuakhali. After that, Riaz took the girl to the house of his brother-in-law Ibrahim Dafadar of Golakhali Union, introducing himself as his wife. There Riyaz and Rabbi forcefully take turns raping her.
After learning about the matter, the locals caught the two youths and informed the police.
M Shaukat Anwar, OC of Galachipa Police Station, said that the victim was rescued and sent to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital for medical examination. In this incident, the father of the victim girl has filed a case against the accused 2 youths.
