3 held with 1,855 litres cholai wine in C'nawabganj

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three alleged drug peddlers and seized 1,855 litres of cholai wine (Locally maid wine) from their possession from Godagari in Rajshahi district yesterday afternoon.

The arrested persons are Md. Momin Ali alias Kalu, 45 of Sidhna village, Md. Mahabur Islam alias Babu, 30 of Mohonpur Dargapara and Shreeram Saren, 55 of Darga Aitanpur Santalpara all under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district, reports BSS.

RAB said, acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp conducted a raid at Kapasia Adibasi Chiknapara Dangapukur area under Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district at around 2-30 pm and arrested the aforesaid persons with the wine.

Later the elite force handed them over to the police of Godagari thana with a case, the sources added.
