Missing pharmacist's body recovered from Dhanmondi Lake

Police recovered the floating body of a pharmacist from Dhanmondi Lake in the capital on Monday. 

The victim was identified as Imtiaz, 46. He was residing in a flat of Dhanmondi road number 3. 

Being informed, a team of Dhanmondi police station rushed to the spot and recovered the body in the morning. 

Operation Officer of Dhanmondi police station Md Rasel Ahmed said  marks of injuries were found in different parts of the victim's body. 

The family could not find him since last night (Sunday night). Imtiaz might have died at the hands of muggers. However, the matter is still not clear, the police officer said. 

Saiful Islam Raju, Inspector (Investigation) of the same Police Station said, "I got news that a body was floating in Dhanmondi Lake at 8:45 am. Later, the police went to the spot and recovered the body from the water of the lake." 

The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, reports UNB.
