Uncle cuts veins of nephew's hands and legs in Kalapara

Injured nephew was given first aid at Kuakata before being sent to Barisal for better treatment.



Patuakhali: An uncle cut the veins of nephew Md. Halim Howlader's hands and legs at Alipur village of Kalapara upazila under Patuakhali district. A terrorist group of four or five people, including step uncle Suman Howladar, carried out this barbaric attack with sharp weapons around 9 o'clock on Wednesday night.

After the incident, the locals rescued Halim Howladar in a critical condition and took him to Kuakata 20-bed hospital. After receiving the information, the police of Mohipur police station visited the incident spot.

Kuakata 20-bed hospital's Dr. M Sayem Poonam said that the victim Halim Howladar was sent to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla medical college Hospital for better treatment.

Mohipur Police Station OC Md. Ferdaus Alam Khan said that there was a dispute over land acquisition with Uncle Suman and Halim Howladar for a long time. In the past, there had been several cases of assault. A case has been filed in the police station. Operations are on to arrest the accused. – Gofran Biswas Palash
