2 arrested over gang-rape in Chattogram
Chattogram, Mar 19 - Two people were arrested in connection with the abduction and gang-rape of a teenage girl inside a private car in Chattogram.
Police arrested Miron Miru, 36, and Jamir, 32, from Chhotopul area under Halishahar police station on Tuesday with the help of information technology.
According to police, the girl was abducted on the night of March 17 and gang-raped in a white car in Chhotopul Old Road area under Halishahar Police Station.
According to the case statement, Miron Miru, 36, and Jamir, 32, abducted the victim around 10pm on March 17 and threatened her not to tell anyone about the incident.
Md Kaiser Hamid, officer-in-charge of Halishahar Police Station, said the girl did not inform anyone about the incident as she was scared and later informed her mother on Monday night. After that, her father filed a case.-UNB
