Japan Grants Tk 16.3M to Two Bangladeshi NGOs

On Sunday, the government of Japan awarded a grant of $135,237 (approximately Tk 16.3 million) to two Bangladeshi NGOs: MedGlobal Inc. and Training Assistance and Rural Advancement Non-Government Organization (TARANGO).


The grant contracts were signed by Japan's Ambassador to Bangladesh, Saida Shinichi, at the Embassy of Japan under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGHSP) initiative.

MedGlobal Inc. received $57,835 to improve the medical facility and equipment at the Primary Healthcare Center in Rohingya Camp 24. The organization provides emergency healthcare and resilience-building programs for vulnerable communities globally.

TARANGO was awarded $77,402 for constructing a Community Skills Development Center in Agailjhara Upazila, Barishal district. The organization promotes women's economic empowerment through initiatives focused on handicrafts, entrepreneurship, savings, and microfinance.
