Bangladesh, Lithuania Discuss Trade, Investment And Visa Services

Lithuania’s non-resident Ambassador to Bangladesh Diana Mickeviciene paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir at the Prime Minister’s Office in Tejgaon on Monday morning.

During the meeting, they discussed various issues of mutual interest, including bilateral relations, expanding trade and investment, cooperation in education and information technology, skilled manpower recruitment and the establishment of a Lithuanian visa centre in Dhaka.

Humayun Kabir praised the continued communication and cooperation between Bangladesh and Lithuania and highlighted the potential of Bangladesh’s skilled and trained workforce.

He urged Lithuania to recruit more skilled workers from Bangladesh and requested the establishment of a visa centre in Dhaka to facilitate visa processing for Bangladeshi citizens.

The Lithuanian ambassador expressed interest in expanding cooperation in the education sector.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.
