Asaduzzaman for stronger Bangladesh-UAE legal ties
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman has emphasized strengthening cooperation between Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in information sharing and mutual legal assistance.
Md Asaduzzaman made the remarks during a meeting with UAE Justice Minister Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi on the sidelines of the 15th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Abu Dhabi today, an official release said here today.
The law minister is leading the Bangladesh delegation at the congress being held at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi from September 26 to October 1.
During today's meeting, the Law Minister expressed his sincere gratitude to the UAE Justice Minister for hosting the congress. He also thanked the UAE for hosting around 12 lakh Bangladeshi expatriates and providing them with opportunities to contribute to the country's economic and development activities.
The UAE Justice Minister, in turn, expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the significant contributions of Bangladeshi expatriates to the country's development activities, reports BSS.
