British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke met Awami League leaders on Tuesday to discuss the upcoming elections. 

The UK called on all stakeholders to exercise restraint, eschew violence and work together to create the conditions for free, fair, participatory and peaceful elections.

AL presidium member and former minister Faruk Khan and AL International Affairs subcommittee Secretary Shammi Ahmed were present, according to British High Commission in Dhaka. - UNB
