Outgoing Omani Ambassador Abdul Ghaffar Bin Abdul Karim Al-Bulushi made a farewell visit to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Tuesday.

During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Bulushi expressed confidence that Bangladesh-Oman relations would continue to strengthen under the leadership of Prof. Yunus.

In return, Prof. Yunus congratulated the Ambassador on the successful completion of his tenure as Oman's first envoy to Dhaka, praising his contributions to the bilateral ties.

The Chief Adviser referred to Ambassador Al-Bulushi as a "friend of Bangladesh" and expressed hope that he would play an instrumental role in further enhancing the relationship between the two nations.

Ambassador Al-Bulushi highlighted that around 700,000 Bangladeshis are currently working in Oman, with a growing demand for skilled workers in the energy sector.

Prof. Yunus urged the Ambassador to facilitate the reopening of visas for Bangladeshi workers and called for greater cooperation in expanding trade and energy links between the two countries.
