Yunus thanks Erdoğan for help freeing Shahidul Alam

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today expressed his gratitude to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for his cooperation in securing the release and repatriation of renowned Bangladeshi photographer and human rights activist Shahidul Alam from Israel.

According to the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, citing Turkish sources, Shahidul Alam departed from Israel for Türkiye on a flight earlier in the day.

“A flight took off from Israel this afternoon with renowned Bangladeshi photographer and human rights activist Shahidul Alam among the passengers,” the statement said.

The Turkish Airlines flight, TK 6921, is scheduled to arrive in Istanbul at around 2:30 pm local time today.
