Dengue: One more dies; 153 new hospitalized in 24hrs

One more person has died from dengue in the country in the last 24 hours while 153 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals during the period, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Among the newly admitted patients in the last 24 hours, 76 were from the Dhaka Division, 69 from the Chattogram Division, four from the Khulna Division, and four from the Barishal Division. 

No new dengue cases were reported in the country's other divisions during this period.    

A total of 15,310 dengue patients had been hospitalized this year. Of them, 14,089 have been discharged after receiving treatment. 

At present, 1,167 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals. During the same period, the total number of dengue-related deaths has reached 54, reports BSS.
