Five die of dengue, 1,194 hospitalized in last 24hrs

Five dengue patients died and 1,194 were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.


During the period, 288 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city while 906 patients were admitted to hospitals outside the capital, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

This year, the total number of dengue cases rose to 73,587 and out of them 360 died.

Last year, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and total number of affected persons was 3,21,179, reports BSS.
