13 New Dengue Cases Reported in 24 Hours

Thirteen new cases of dengue have been reported in the 24-hour period leading up to Thursday morning, bringing the total number of infections this year to 1,890, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The new cases were identified across two divisions: two in the Dhaka Division (outside the city corporation area) and eleven in the Barishal Division (also outside city corporation areas).
The death toll from the virus remains at 13, with no new fatalities recorded during this period.
Currently, 55 dengue patients are receiving treatment in hospitals nationwide.
Last year, dengue outbreaks were particularly severe, with the disease claiming 575 lives and infecting 101,214 individuals. However, the majority of those affected—100,040 people—made full recoveries.
