38 dengue patients hospitalized in last 24 hrs

Thirty eight dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.


“During the period, 20 patients were hospitalised in Barishal, five in Dhaka division, nine in Dhaka North and four were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka South,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The total number of case rose to 5,015 while 23 deaths from dengue disease were reported this year.

Besides, 27 dengue patients were released from different hospitals in the last 24 hours, reports BSS. 

Last year, the total number of cases rose to 1,01,214 while 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
