4 killed in separate road crashes in Kushtia

Separate road accidents in Kushtia left four people dead and 12 others injured. An accident took place in the Alauddin Nagar area of Kumarkhali upazila.



Separate road accidents in Kushtia left four people dead and 12 others injured.
An accident took place in the Alauddin Nagar area of Kumarkhali upazila on the Kushtia-Rajbari regional Highway on Monday (September 12) morning, confirmed Kushtia Highway police station Officer-in-charge (OC) Idris Ali.
The deceased were identified as Gaffar, 38, and Sanwar, 40, son of Azil Pramanik, and Inta Sardar.
At least nine people were injured in the accident. They were rushed to Kushtia General Hospital for treatment.
OC Idris said that the three passengers of the truck were killed in a three-way collision between a three-wheeler, a truck and a van when they were heading to buy onion seeds from Daulatpur in Kushtia to Rajbari.
On the other hand, another person named Mofizul Islam was killed at around 5am when a truck rammed a parked truck on the side of Mahishadanga road on the Kushtia-Jhenaidah highway.
