Youth stabbed dead to death in Munshiganj

The incident took place at Hoglakandi village under Char-Kewar union of the upazila.



A young man was allegedly stabbed to death in Munshiganj sadar upazila on Sunday night.

The incident took place at Hoglakandi village under Char-Kewar union of the upazila at night.

The victim was Tariqul Islam, 22, a resident of that village.

According to eyewitnesses, Tariqul had a dispute over land for a long time with Mahir, son of Enayatullah of the same village. Following this, Mahir stabbed Tariqul with a sharp knife on the chest during an argument on Sunday evening.

Later, he was rescued and brought to Munshiganj General Hospital with serious injuries where on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Munshiganj Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Aminul Islam said legal action is under process in this regard.
