Farmer killed in lightning strike while fishing in Sylhet



Sylhet, May 29 - A farmer was killed in a lightning strike in Balaganj upazila of Sylhet on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Sajid Mia, 45, a resident of Mokbelpur village of Balaganj upazila.

According to locals, lightning hit Sajid Mia when he was fishing in a haor around 1 am.

Sajid was taken to the Upazila Health Complex where the doctors declared him dead.-UNB
