2 held with 1,000 Tapentadol tablets in Rangpur

The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) personnel arrested two men with 1,000 pieces of contraband Tapentadol tablets from the Habu Bala Ghat Bridge area under Gangachara model police station of Rangpur on Friday.

 
On a tip-off, a team of Rangpur DNC conducted a raid, seized the narcotics and a motorcycle and arrested the two men at 7 am.
 
The arrestees are Md Munna, 42 and Md Mamun alias Sagar, 31, of village Khamar Jharbari Mahutpara under Dinajpur Kotwali police station of Dinajpur, Deputy Director of the Rangpur DNC Md Abu Jafar told BSS tonight.
 
In this regard, Inspector of the DNC Narcotics, Rangpur Md Mosaddek Hossain filed a case against the arrestees with Gangachara model police station this afternoon.
 
They along with the seized contraband and motorcycle have been handed over to the Gangachara model police station, said Abu Jafar.
