The government has revised fuel prices upward by Tk 2 per litre, effective from December 1, to maintain a smooth and affordable supply of petroleum products at the consumer level.

Under the new rates, diesel will now cost Tk 104 per litre, up from Tk 102. The price of octane has been raised to Tk 124 from Tk 122, petrol to Tk 120 from Tk 118 and kerosene to Tk 116 from Tk 114.

Officials said the adjustment reflects fluctuations in global fuel prices and follows the recently updated pricing formula, which aims to automatically set monthly fuel prices for consumers, reports BSS.
