The Dhaka Education Board has identified the people who were allegedly involved in making and editing of HSC Bangla first part exam's question, which was hurtful to the religious sentiments.
The education board sent a list of accused to the ministry of education on Tuesday (November 8).
The five identified persons are Assistant Professor of Dr Saiful Islam Degree College Prashanta Kumar Pal, Associate Professor of Narail Government Victoria College Syed Tajuddin Shaon, Associate Professor of Satkhira Government Mahila College Md Shafiqur Rahman, Assistant Professor of Mirzapur United College Shyamal Kumar Ghosh and Assistant Professor of Bheramara Adarsha College in Kushtia Rezaul Karim.
“All the accused are from Jashore Board. The Jashore Board will soon give them a show-cause notice as to why action should not be taken against them, said the Dhaka board chairman.
This year’s HSC examinations began on Sunday (November 6) with the Bangla first paper on the first day. A question in the creative section of the Dhaka Education Board’s exam narrates a story of two Hindu brothers involved in a land dispute.
“Two siblings, Nepal and Gopal, have been in a clash over their lands for a long time. Nepal sells his portion of land to Abdul, who is a Muslim, with a view to punishing his brother. Abdul builds a house there and starts to live permanently. Abdul sacrifices a cow in front of Nepal’s home during Eid-ul-Azha. Heart-broken, Nepal moves to India along with his family members.”
