3 suffer burn injuries at Bangshal shop fire

Three workers suffered burn injuries when a fire broke out at a hardware shop in the city’s Bangshal area on Monday.


The injured were identified as Miraj, 25, Ifat, 20, and Rocky, 26.

Rafin, manager of the shop, said the fire broke out at shop on Tekerhat Lane around 11:00am as soon as an electric switch was turned on, leaving the three workers injured.

They were taken to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

Dr Shawon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon of the institute, said Ifat suffered burns on 25 percent of his body, while Rocky 23 percent and Miraj 2 percent, reports UNB.
