Fire breaks out at jacket factory in Chattogram

Chattogram, Feb 22 - A fire broke out at the jacket manufacturing factory of Ebalon Fashion Limited in Purba Kalurghat, Boalkhali upazila of Chattogram on Saturday evening.
The fire started around 5:00 pm, and six units of the Fire Service brought it under control after about an hour and a half of efforts.
The Fire Service said that a detailed report will be provided after an investigation.
According to the control room of Agrabad Fire Service, initially, two units responded to the fire, but later, four more units joined, making a total of six units working to douse the flames.
Oli Ullah, the factory's quality manager, said, "The extent of damages is still unknown. Around 500 workers are employed in this factory.”
As soon as the fire started, the workers evacuated the building, and no casualties were reported. - UNB
