Fishermen set off foe the sea on Sunday midnight.

Patuakhali: The government-imposed 65-day ban on sea fishing ended at midnight. So the fishermen have gone to fish in the sea with trawlers. They fishermen of the coast will travel to the deep sea to hunt hilsa.

Earlier the Fisheries Department imposed a 65-day fishing ban from May 20 to July 23 for unrestricted breeding and conservation of marine fish. The fishermen were very disappointed as they did not catch much hilsa throughout the year.

However, as a result of the long ban, hilsa is expected to be caught in large numbers in fishermen's nets. - Gofran Biswas Palash
